The EV-1 is a super robust expression pedal. The action is very smooth and feels very sturdy under your foot. I love it!

Its way bigger than I remember it being. I think I should’ve gone with the other size, but regardless it functions perfectly. Feels good to use, wish I could make it a little tighter, but I just gotta adjust my weight on it.

The larger size is probably awesome for me because of my giant/wide feet. I feel grounded when using it

Amazing pedal, heavy duty, made out of a heavy metal where it won’t bust in minutes of playing. Worth every bit of money.

Incredible build quality. Using one as a volume pedal and the other to control wah effects in FM3

Great expression pedal, works flawlessly with the FM9 I also purchased. Seems to be built well, nice and sturdy with smooth pedal action and easy connection. Didn’t need to mess with anything on the FM9. It was recognized as soon as it was attached and I was able to add Wah control along with other parameters without any fuss.

Substantial and comfortable! Way more sturdy than typical cast rocker foot pedals.

Built like a tank, yet flawlessly smooth action!
Nicely oversized so even if your foot doesn’t find the sweet spot right away, you’re still good!
Can’t recommend this enough… Perfect for a Fractal Audio rig, or if you want a flawless expression pedal for other rigs.
It doesn’t get better than this…

Easy setup with my FC-12 and Axe III.
No configuration necessary! Just plug and play.
I love the ability to adjust the pedal tension.
Just for hoots, I tried it as an analog volume pedal and prefer it to the Ernie Ball that has populated my board for decades.

This is a high quality, well design foot pedal. I’m an engineer and this piece very well constructed (cast pieces and a great smooth operating hinge). Works flawlessly. I would definitely recommend! It’s the only pedal I use with my FM3 and fits right in my backpack.

I liked it so much I got a second one. It’s not just a wah or volume pedal, the amount of parameters that can be mapped to this thing (and the depth of customization for each mapping) is just insane. It’s really a must have for any Axe Fx user

You know that popular volume pedal out there that everyone uses. This one feels just as smooth and is built like a tank! I definitely recommend pairing it with your Fractal products.

I’ve been using a Dunlop mini volume for the longest time for both volume and expression control. The feel of the EV pedals is most certainly superior to the Dunlop mini. And as a standalone volume pedal, it sounds incredible for volume swell work.

The first thing I do when I get a product, especially within the music instrument or gear realm is thoroughly inspect it. As an engineer, I frequently tend to over analyze design and construction. When I received the EV-1 (very quickly I might add) I was impressed by the care in packaging. Double boxed, in peanuts with a protective air packaging tightly enclosing the pedal. The weight of the pedal is very nice, it is heavier than I had imagined even after looking at the tech specs, but I like the weight. The jacks were all factory tight, the finish is flawless, and the ergonomics are well thought out. I primarily use this as a wah, and for delay swells during leads. I know a lot of people will tend to prefer a shorter sweep for wah use, but I actually like the long sweep myself. Programming this with the axe 3 is very easy and I had no issues, although I would probably recommend watching Leon Todd via you tube on how he sets his up. Very informative. The only thing I wish (coming from a gigging/touring perspective) is that there would be some sort of dust/liquid protector cover over the gears and throw mechanism, but I haven’t seen any foot pedal to date have something like that. It seems that this should hold up under harsh gigging situations.
