Ridiculous amp tones. I am upgrading from a Line 6 Stomp: I almost gave up on the FM9 waiting list. I’m glad I didn’t. The preset and scene set up is a game changer for me. These are rugged , perfectly shaped and have all the right in and outputs. Only thing I wish is had Phantom power and Mic

I find myself truly inspired by the incredible soundscapes I’ve discovered this far..and to think I’ve just scratched the very surface of the possibilities contained within..

I love the FM9! The sounds and versatility are second to none.

I have been waiting for over a year to get one of these. It finally arrived! I naturally plugged it right in and started playing. Out of the box, this device is the best I have ever heard. I played it through my two amps (an older Fender Hotrod Deluxe and a Fender 5E3 that I built myself). The default sounds were sensational. The pedalboard is well thought out and perfect for everything from simple effects to a full show programmed by song.

I have been reading through the manual and am amazed at the level of thought and planning that went into this unit.

I would say that when you purchase one, don’t forget to buy a humbuster cable for each device that you are connecting to. You also need special cables to the expression pedals so don’t forget those as well.

This unit combined with a good tube amp will change your playing! Haven’t found any downsides yet. Will be building my own sounds as I seek to emulate some of my classic favorite rockers.

Just received the FM9 one day ago. Bullet Proof construction. Easy to read lay out…full of features, and the tone & balance have clearly met my expectations. This unit has more than enough capability for anything I will need… Very pleased!!

This thing absolutely smokes @$$!!! Great floor model compliment and backup to my Axe FX III MKII Turbo! Great when I just want a single pedalboard solution! Smokes the crap out of the Helix and the Quad Cortex I kept for about a week! There is no competition out there!!!

I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for a product like this (I sold my Axe FX 2 XL in January thinking the wait will be just a few months), the sound quality and the construction quality of the FM9 is off the charts. This floor unit is perfect for studio and live applications.

I’ve been on this waitlist since day 2 or so of signing up. Its been a long road and I’ve gone through several “in between” rigs to get here. So glad I did. Used it for my church’s worship night and it was amazing! Sound was fantastic and it was super easy to navigate on the front. Had to make several adjustments in rehearsal and the layout of the screen and information is such that its incredibly fast to make changes. I appreciate that and I am excited to be using this unit going forward!

Amazing product. Worth the wait. Will buy another for a back up when everyone gets a chance to get theirs.

There is nothing that tops it for me

After having played the AX8 and FM3 for years now and knowing how good there modelers are, I was somewhat skeptical about how much better this unit can get and my response is WOW! This FM9 turbo is an absolute beast! The additional DSP in the turbo is an absolute game changer and allows the user to sculpt tones even more. Definitely the best floor modeler in the market. Is was definitely worth the wait. 100% recommended!

Absolutely insane! So worth the wait! I’ve owned every Modeler from Headrush to Boss to Helix and most recently the FM3. This unit is by far the best. By far.

FM9 is the best.

This unit is just amazing. I have an FM3 and got on the waitlist for this to see if it was worth the money to upgrade myself. The sounds are great, very responsive to different guitars, having the ability to have multiple signal chains, to the point of having two guitars going to 2 separate chains of amps, cabs and effects simultaneously adds huge convenience to recording and live performance I’ve been searching for in a digital unit.

I’ve been a Fractal Audio fan for many years and owned an FX-8, AX-8, Axe-Fx II XL+, and when I heard about the FM9, I sold them all, because this beast can do it all and much more!

Purchased this recently to replace my Axe-Fx II. I heard YouTube and SoundCloud clips and thought: The FM9, FM3 and Axe III all sound good, but I wonder what they sound like IN the room, live, in person?
For me, the answer was: Amazing.
I can 100% hear the difference between the FM9 and my old Axe II. Dialing in my sound was even easier than it was on the Axe II.
I typically play a bit of rock, blues and ambient music and this unit hasn’t let me down at all.

Nice-looking device. The screen is beautiful. I love the scribble strips. The right number of footswitches for me, and the overall size is ‘just right.’ Sounds great and with the editor software, it’s easy to get around and manipulate it. The effects, as usual, are top-notch.

I have an FM3, which is awesome, but I never fully got along with being limited to 3 footswitches. The FM9 is just right. The extra DSP power is also a plus. This is the third Fractal product I’ve owned (I had an Axe II XL, too) and I’m consistently blown away by the build quality, modeling quality and support after the sale. I own or have owned competing products from the other big manufacturers, but I’ve either sold those products or they’re gathering dust. Fractal is the real deal.

Awesome unit. Upgraded from the FM3 primarily for more switches, but the extra IO and power made this package a no brainer. You’re never backed into a corner when you are trying to design a preset. Great ongoing support on the forums and with the continued firmware updates. Money well spent. Thank you!

The FM9 is amazing without a doubt this is the best floor pedal assembly I have ever owned. I recommend this to all who want true power at your feet without buying so many pedals.

Just like all of Fractal’s products, the Fm9’s build quality and sound quality is unparalleled. The features of the Fm9 perfectly meet my needs. It has enough dsp and buttons for me to have all the effects and amps I could want in one preset and have quick access to them. Amazing pedal.

The new Fractal FM9 is a total game changer that I waited over a year to get. The interface is brilliant and very readable the layout of the silent switching is intuitive and the NEW FM9 Edit software is simply brilliant! I was so excited to find there was so much more processing power compared to the smaller floor unit.

The FM9 checks all the boxes and gives me the ability to create beautiful guitar sound scapes in a portable format. I used it live for the first time this past weekend and it surpassed my expectations. Glorious. Thank you Fractal Audio. You have another winning product in your arsenal.

I received my FM9 last eek and couldn’t be happier with it! It’s the PERFECT answer to a live board and it’s features truly allow for it to be used in an improv/jam session, instead of just relying on specific presets. With the OMG9 layout, having Scenes, Presets and Effects right there to switch between is priceless and exactly what takes the pedal from pre-programmed to on-the-fly use of effects.

Quality is on par with the rest of Fractal’s products! I haven’t turned my Axe-Fx III on since I’ve had it!

The FM9 is a no brainer for a live rig!

This is EXACTLY what the market wanted. The FM9 is the new benchmark. Period!
